Moledo OLR (PT) - Final winners & Ace pigeons Summer edition
Moledo OLR is located at the Atlantic Ocean in the north of Portugal. The race was founded in 2017 and this summer edition 1,605 pigeons came to the start. Good conditions were not given for free. It became a tough season, where the pigeons had to work every race with high temperatures and headwind. In addition, Portugal has a landscape with many mountains, including the location of the lofts. Below are some statistics:
Race 1 (150 km) - 1,378 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1138,966 m/min
Race 2 (185 km) - 1,311 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1277,840 m/min
Race 3 (229 km) - 1,247 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1256,283 m/min
Race 4 (300 km) - 1,149 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1187,564 m/min
Final (413 km) - 676 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 910,323 m/min
The final was a tough race flown with headwind and temperatures up to 30 °C. On the day of release, only 98 pigeons found their way home. Exceptionally is super pigeon Blacky 7 who became the winner of both, the final and semi final. Moledo OLR will bring all top final winners and ace pigeons in auction at EPA… A very strong group of diamonds that all have proven to deliver top performances under extreme circumstances... Often bred by top European fanciers or from exceptional genes... Each of them is a unique opportunity!
