Moledo OLR (PT) - Final winners & Ace pigeons

Moledo OLR is located at the Atlantic Ocean in the north of Portugal. The race was founded in 2017 and this season 3,680 pigeons were at the start, the largest number of pigeons ever. Good conditions were not given for free. It became a tough season, where the pigeons had to work with high temperatures and headwind almost every race. In addition, Portugal has a landscape with many mountains, including the location of the lofts. Below are some statistics:

  • Race 1 (150 km) - 2,125 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1242.134 m/min
  • Race 2 (186 km) - 2,051 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1218.479 m/min
  • Race 3 (234 km) - 1,906 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1087.023 m/min
  • Race 4 (248 km) - 1,636 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1507.811 m/min
  • Race 5 (300 km) - 1,560 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1384.196 m/min
  • Race 6 (351 km) - 1,332 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1125.265 m/min
  • Race 7 (351 km) - 1,135 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1140.905 m/min
  • Final (470 km) - 1,026 basketed pigeons - speed of first arrival: 1090,238 m/min

The final was a tough race that was flown with headwind and temperatures up to 30 °C. On the day of release, only 82 pigeons found their way home. Moledo OLR will bring all top final winners and ace pigeons in auction at EPA… A very strong group of diamonds that all have proven to deliver top performances under extreme circumstances... Often bred by top European fanciers or from exceptional genes... Each of them is a unique opportunity!
