Frans & Dirk Maris have been able to shine on the Belgian national great middle distance and long distance races for many years. After winning 1st Nat. Argenton in 2014 with Maxi, this hen was placed on the breeding loft. The Demely Liliane colony has been at the top of Belgian pigeon racing for many years. This was no different in 2024, with impressive results, especially in the national and provincial classics. The absolute main pigeon is Mister Unique, who can be considered as one of the best Belgian racers ever by winning 1st Nat. Limoges against 14,510 b. and 2nd Nat. Brive against 13,662 b. in 2018… Always in tough weather! After these extraordinary performances Mister Unique moved to the breeding loft where he is now the father of 8 first prize winners and the grandfather of 12th-17th-71st Nat. etc. After the great success of Mister Unique, another National victory was won in 2022, this time it was Lady Liliane who won 1st Nat. Simon Wolf (CH) - Youngsters from the best One Loft Race breeders
Simon Wolf is the name behind Alp Race Team. Over the years, the Swiss built up the largest Romario collection within Europe. The base breeder of the loft is Son Romario 199, which is responsible for many successes, but also Thomas 1 and Thomas 201 can be considered as probably the best breeding brothers of Golden Algarve OLR legend Thomas 6. The year 2024 became a great success for Wolf by winning 1st Ace Golden Algarve OLR (daughter Thomas 1) and 1st Ace Moledo OLR (from granddaughter Son Romario 199). Also this season several fanciers succeeded again with the Wolf pigeon, Vicont & Vicontesa (BG) won 2 different Hot Spot races in Sunny Beach OLR with a granddaughter of Thomas 1… Nikolala Blazekovic (CR) won 1st Ace Derby Zagreb OLR 2024 bred from a grandson of Son Romario 199 & Thomas 201… Ivelin Savov (BG) won 1st Ace & 1st Semi final Corabia OLR (father inbred Thomas 6 via Wolf)… Family Nan (RO) won 1st Final Brasov Int. Goran Gusak (CR) - Children and grandchildren Nestbrother Goed Grijs
As an expert for top pigeons, the Croatian Goran Gusak managed to purchase the nest brother of Goed Grijs from Leideman brothers a few years ago. A unique specimen that now plays the leading role on the lofts of Gusak. Nestbrother Goed Grijs turned out to be a super breeder with descendants winning 1st prizes and even a One Loft Race final. Gusak is now offering 2 direct children and 4 (double) grandchildren of Nestbrother Goed Grijs in auction at EPA. An edition in which the grizzle color takes center stage...
